Hands and Feet Care.

During Winters, our skin needs extra attention and needs extra Hydration. We always forget our hands and feet. Just like our face, our hands and feet are also dry and chapped. A proper hand and feet care is very important like rest of the body. Hands and Feet are most exposed part of the body. So, it is our duty to make keeps it clean, hydrated and moisturized.


                                             



                                              



Cleansing-

Washing Hands and Feet is most important part of skin care routine. This remove dirt, bacteria and sweat. While cleansing, always try to use mild cleansing soap to cleanse your hands and feet. If you don’t use mild soap for cleansing your hands and feet, this makes your skin dry, dull.  Make sure while cleansing, always use Luke warm water instead of warm water. Since, our feet’s skin is most susceptible to bacterial and fungal infections. So always clean your feet. Feet are exposed to dust, sweat and grime. This also needs extra care.

 

Moisturizing-

In winter, our skin is extremely dry and just like face our hands and feet also needs hydration. So we have to moisturized it. Cracked heels are most common issue during winters. But if you moisturized it properly it will have avoided. Moisturizing prevents not only dryness but also prevents premature aging. There are tons of moisturizers available in market. The best time to moisturized your hands after bathing, exfoliating and dish washing or before going to bed. Always apply moisturizer in damp skin. And it is also necessary to moisturized your heels this may prevent your heels from cracked and dryness.

 

Exfoliation-

Exfoliation is an important part of every skin care routine. So it is also important to exfoliate our hands and feet. Exfoliation makes your skin beautiful and soft. For this, use can use physical scrubs and chemical scrubs. If these dead skin cells don’t remove, it can result into dull, dry and flask skin. And don’t forget to pay extra attention to elbows and heels.

 

Occasionally Pamper your Skin-

Hands and Feet also needs occasionally pampering. For this, you just need do some steps to make hands and feet looks beautiful and soft. In other words, we called it Manicure and Pedicure. These simple steps to perform at home.

 

Step:1

Before performing these steps make sure you cleanse your hands and feet well with a mild cleansing soap. This will remove dust, dirt, sweat and if you apply sanitizer it will also remove. Now you are ready for next step.

 

Step :2

After cleansing your hands and feet with mild cleansing soap. Remove your nail polish with a nail polish remover. Make sure your nails are polish free.

 

Step:3

Now after removing your Nail Polish with a Nail Polish Remover. Soak your hands and feet in a warm water for 10 - 15 minutes. So that the dead skin in your hands and feet becomes soft and comes easily. Then pat dry with the help of soft towel, by rubbing gently to get the dead skin away.

For Manicure-

Mix some milk with 1 table spoon of honey in a bowl.  Soak your hands and fingernails in it for 10 – 15 minutes in that solution. Then rinse it well.

For pedicure-

For Pedicure mix some Oil and Lemon Juice in a warm water, soak your feet in that solution. Then rinse it well. And pat dry your feet.

 

Step :4

In this step you just need a cuticle pusher and gently push back your cuticles with a cuticle pusher. This makes your nails to look longer. Then it’s time to nail filing, file your nails with a desired shape with a nail file to make your nail looks beautiful. Also file your toe nails.

 

Step :5

Now, scrub your hands and feet, this makes your skin to shed dead skin cells and make your skin to look beautiful.

For Hands-

Milk and Orange Peel Powder-

Add 1 table spoon of orange peel powder with enough milk to make a smooth paste. Massage gently your hands with this pack. This also remove tanning in your hands.

Oat meal and honey-

Mix Oat meal and honey to make a paste. Then scrub gently in your hands. This soothes your hands and give even texture.

 

Coconut and coffee powder-

Mix coconut oil with coffee powder. Then scrub gently. Rinse it off.

 

For Feet-

Oat meal and Yoghurt-

Mix Oat Meal and Yogurt in a paste. Scrub your feet with this paste.

Gram flour scrub-

Mix 1 table spoon of Gram Flour in a 1 tea spoon of Almond Flour and few dried Rose Petals into a paste. Gently scrub your feet with this powder.

 

Step:6

In this step, after scrub your feet and hands. Moisturized your hands and feet. Moisturizer keeps your skin looking bright and radiant.

For this mix Aloe Vera in your favourite Moisturizer.

 

Step:7

Now applying base coat on your nails. Apply it properly. Once it dried off. Apply your favorite nail paint if you want. Your hands and feet are ready.

 

For cracked heels-

Cracked heels are the most common problem now-a-days especially in winters. The skin become thicker, dried and hard that tend to split which cause discomfort and sometimes pain.

How it can be cured-

 Always keep it Moisturized. Apply some ointment, lotion, creams and balms. This may prevent dryness on that area.

Soak your heels in warm water and mix some shampoo and add some lemon juice. Then keep it for 10 minutes, and rub your heels with pumice stone or loofah. But be careful while you are doing that.

After you have done with this always moisturized your heel.

Moisturized your heels twice or thrice a day.

DIY Moisturizer for cracked heels-

Take Aloe Vera Gel and add Vaseline into it then add few drops of Glycerin into it then give it a good mix.

 

Extra Tip-

Soak your nails in olive oil for 5 minutes.

Don’t cut your cuticles. Apply some oil and moisturizing cream.

Go for chemical exfoliation to remove dead cells.

Always wear socks while going out this help against dust, dirt and grime.
